Sulphate acid soils – lime treatment

Acid sulphate soils can cause damage to concrete and reinforcing steel in situ.

Acid soil

Graymont’s Neutra-Lime™, quicklime and hydrated lime products can be used to neutralise and condition sulphate acid soils prior to sub surface construction taking place. Customers should engage a qualified professional to ensure the correct material and quantity of product is specified taking into account the effective neutralizing value required for the soil type encountered and minimising any residual alkalinity that might remain after treatment.
