Maglime®

Maglime® is a agronomically valuable crushed and graded dolomitic limestone, containing both calcium and magnesium carbonate.

Maglime Advantage

The fine particle size, together with the chemical composition of this product, results in a product suitable for soil improvement and maintenance in agricultural applications where additional calcium and magnesium is required.

Magnesium has an important role in plant function. It is a structural component of chlorophyll, helps in the uptake of phosphorous, regulates the uptake of other nutrients, has a role to play in the transformation of sugar to starch in plants. Yellowing of crop leaves can be a sign of magnesium deficiency in crops. Symptoms usually occur in older leaves of the plant first.

Maglime® is processed and tested to rigorous standards which deliver consistent chemical and physical properties.

Maglime® product is available in bulk quantities upon request.

There are three distinct types of limestone, defined by their magnesium carbonate (MgCO3) concentrations. These types are Dolomitic (35 to 46% MgCO3), Magnesian (5 to 35% MgCO3) and High calcium (less than 5% MgCO3).
