Exshaw – Graymont’s Exshaw Plant employees hosted their annual Stampede Breakfast on July 12. The highlight of this year’s breakfast was personally guided tours of the plant and quarry which are offered every second year. Invitations, outlining Graymont’s activities and plans for the upcoming year, were mailed to residents living in communities along the Bow Corridor. In all 170 employees, family and community members attended to enjoy pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausages. According to Pierre Chassat, who was plant manager at the time, “The Exshaw Plant prides itself on being a good neighbor and part of the community. The breakfast allows us to meet and interact with our neighbors and community leaders and show them firsthand what we do and why.”
Graymont takes a long term view of its business and the lime industry and is looking forward to continuing its work in Exshaw, Alberta, and in so doing, improving our environment, contributing to the community as a good neighbor and adding value as a responsible business partner.
