Council for Masonry Research - The Council for Masonry Research was formed to provide a leadership role in the development of material and construction related research designed to increase and preserve markets for masonry materials. This site provides online access to research reports.
The International Masonry Institute - IMI is a labor/management cooperative of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers and the Contractors who employ its members. This site provides guides on several areas of masonry construction.
Marble Institute of America - The Marble Institute of America represents producers, distributors, and installers of natural stone products.
Mason's Contractors Association of America - The MCAA is a trade association representing masonry contractors. Their site contains information on Masonry Magazine as well as the Masonry Show.
Masonry Advisory Council - This group provides information concerning the technical aspects, design and cost of masonry construction.
National Concrete Masonry Association - NCMA is a trade association of producers of concrete masonry products, and suppliers of products and services related to the industry. This website provides information concerning the use and application of concrete masonry units.
National Lime Association - Trade industry for lime companies. Contains recommended specifications for mortar and stucco in a downloadable PDF file.
National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association - The NSSGA represents the interests of the aggregate (crushed stone, sand and gravel) and mining industries.
Portland Cement Association - Information on the production of portland cement and on stucco formulation and applications.
The Masonry Society - TMS is an international gathering of people interested in the art and science of masonry. The Masonry Society offers a number of technical publications related to masonry.
Building codes
International Code Council - The International Code Council (ICC) was established in 1994 as a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing a single set of comprehensive and coordinated national model construction codes. These codes were developed in a joint effort of three previous building code organizations: Building Officials and Code Administrators International, Inc. (BOCA), International Conference of Building Officials (ICBO), and Southern Building Code Congress International, Inc. (SBCCI). Codes developed by this organization are used in many parts of the United States.
Masonry Standards Joint Committee - The Masonry Standards Joint Committee developes consensus based standards regarding code language and design of masonry construction.
