AeroLime®

AeroLime® is an aerially applied crushed limestone and is manufactured to a unique particle size distribution curve to ensure consistent flowability when exiting aircraft hopper devices. Moisture content and other parameters are carefully controlled during manufacture and tested via our in-house laboratory. 

Aerolime

The agronomic benefits associated with AeroLime® include pH adjustment where soils are acidic. By raising the pH level, AeroLime® can assist to reduce soil toxicity caused by excess levels of aluminium, manganese and iron. Toxic levels of these minerals thrive in low pH soils, restricting root and plant development.

Graymont provides AeroLime® clean and dry. Following uplift of the product, subsequent hazards can arise associated with acceptance, storage, loading and application of AeroLime®. Hazards must be managed according to the Farm Airstrips And Associated Fertiliser Cartage, Storage And Application Guidelines, (CAA, December 2006).

AeroLime® should be kept in a free-flowing condition, which will require it to be kept free from contamination, and dry. A final flowability check should be performed before AeroLime® is loaded to the aircraft hopper. Responsibilities to manage hazards lie with the transport operator, airstrip owners and/or farmers, pilot and aerial operator. The pilot has the right of refusal to fly the product.

AeroLime® and Aglime are different products with different flowability characteristics and should never be mixed.
