Tacoma - On September 14, Graymont’s plant in Tacoma, Washington held an Open House at their facility for vendors, family and friends. Eighty one people attended and had a great time touring the plant, enjoying a great barbecue of brats, burgers and fixings.
While at the plant, guests were invited to tour the facility; they were taken down to the water to see the barge area, and had a chance to walk through the stone tunnel situated under about 50 feet of rock. Paul Liner was pleased with the attendance and what the day accomplished: “It’s important for us to show our vendors and the community at large what is happening here ‘behind the fence’, and especially to let our vendors take a close look at their contribution to the output and productivity of the plant.”
This was the first event of this nature for the Tacoma Plant, but due to its overwhelming success, is destined to be an annual event.
Graymont takes a long term view of its business and the lime industry and is looking forward to continuing its work in Tacoma, Washington, and in so doing, improving our environment, contributing to the community as a good neighbor and adding value as a responsible business partner.
